Frequently asked questions
How do I make an iPhone ringtone?
Select up to about 30 seconds, choose M4R and press Cut audio. Then transfer the file to your iPhone with Finder (Mac) or iTunes/Apple Devices (Windows) and pick it under Settings › Sounds. Ringtones longer than roughly 40 seconds are usually rejected.
How do I set an MP3 as a ringtone on Android?
Save as MP3, move the file to your phone’s Ringtones folder (or open it in the Files app), then choose it in Settings › Sound › Phone ringtone.
Can I cut audio from a video?
Yes. Drop an MP4, MOV or MKV video; only its audio track is used. For a full-length MP3 use our MP4 to MP3 converter.
Does cutting reduce quality?
MP3 is re-encoded at the bitrate you choose (192 kbps is near-transparent for most listeners). WAV output is uncompressed.
Why is there no waveform for my file?
Some formats or very large files can’t be previewed by the browser. You can still type start and end times and cut normally.
